The Trio was one of two bands which played on this gala night of class
entertainment. Up first, at 9:30 pm, they blasted through a true
PowerSet, hammering the crowd into submission. By the end of Sweet Jane,
the audience was howling for more, and management was forced to sanction
the Trio to do another couple of numbers, or face an ugly riot!
The Power Trio would like to loudly and sincerely thank all those friends
and fans who turned up to their first public performance, and helped to
make it such a resounding success. A round of applause and a hearty round
of drinks for the true friends of the Power Trio!
A variation on some well-known lines by Edna St. Vincent Millay -- for
Katrina:
I burned the candle at both ends,
It did not last the night.
But oh my foes! And oh my friends!
It gave a lovely light.
