<td><!-- #BeginLibraryItem "/Library/music_intro.lbi" -->Over the years I've played the viola, sung Italian madrigals and, most recently, been lead singer for a rock band.<br><br> The band was <a href="http://www.routt.net/PowerTrio/" target="_blank">The Power
Trio</a> but since we lost guitarist Mark Morrison we've disbanded and have reformed
with a new line-up. We're now <a href="http://www.routt.net/ThoughtPolice/" target="_blank">Judy
and the Thought Police</a>. Our next guitarist Craig Morton succumbed to the evils
of sleepless nights due to small children, so that role has fallen to me with
my meagre but improving guitar-playing skills. Now, with <a href="../family/index2.html" target="main">Orson</a>
in our life, it's harder to find the time to practice. Music <i>will</i> eventually
prevail, though, so stay tuned....<br>
<br>
Inspirations include The Move, Pixies, John Cale (of Velvet Underground fame), The Flamin' Groovies, Dwight Twilley, Marshall Crenshaw, Donovan, your basic blues balads and a whole host of others. This rates our taste as an eclectic mix, spanning the gamut of modern rock. We call it "we like what we like."<br><br>
Current obsessive favorites:<p>

<li>always The Pixies
<li>anything Foo Fighters
<li>anything Veruca Salt (pre-disolution preferred, though)</ul>
